Priyanka Chopra's Citadel will be back with Season 2

Filmmaker Joe Russo will direct the second season of Citadel 2, makers confirmed on Friday.

The American OTT series featured Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden in the lead roles.

The announcement was made just a month after the series was released amid much excitement among fans.

Confirming the second season of the series, the official Twitter handle said: "#CitadelOnPrime is officially set to return with season 2, directed by Joe Russo."

The first season:

Citadel is an American spy action thriller television series created by Josh Appelbaum, Bryan Oh, and David Weil for Amazon Prime Video, with the Russo brothers acting as executive producers.

With a production budget of US$300 million, the six-episode first season ranks as one of the most expensive television shows.
