Priyanka Chopra, Mary Kom cast to tour Delhi region to promote boxing

Mumbai, Sept 2 (IBNS) The excitement surrounding the release of Bollywood's first female centric sports biopic 'Mary Kom' is all set to take Delhi by storm.

Leading lady Priyanka Chopra is scheduled to travel with Omung Kumar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Darshan Kummar to interact with admirers across Delhi, Noida and surrounding areas throughout 2nd and 3rd September.

This evening, producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Priyanka Chopra and Darshan Kummar will interact with the film’s fans at the Pacific Mall in Tagore Garden, Delhi NCR. In a move to spread awareness about boxing as a sport that Priyanka has pledged to promote, the actress will teach willing young girls some basic boxing moves at Pacific Mall.

On Sept 3, director Omung Kumar will join the trio to visit the Noida International University. A special screening of the film will be held for underprivileged children from the Akhil Bharatiya Arise Foundation at the Siri Fort Auditorium in Delhi’s Asiad Village Complex. Priyanka Chopra, Omung Kumar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Darshan Kummar will spend time interacting with the children before they return to Mumbai.

‘Mary Kom’, the film is about the Indian Boxer and Olympic Bronze medallist MC Mary Kom. Depicting her life, struggles, family and her perseverance to be the best - Priyanka Chopra stars as Mary Kom along with Darshan Kumaar, Sunil Thapa, Shishir Sharma and American actor Zachary Coffin.

Directed by Omung Kumar, ‘Mary Kom’ is produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures & Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The film is scheduled for release on Sept  5, 2014.
