PK becomes 2nd highest non-holiday opener in B-town

Mumbai, Dec 20 (IBNS): Aamir Khan's latest release 'PK' has become the second highest non-holiday opening after Dhoom 3 as the movie has collected Rs. 26.63 crore net.

PK sets a historic record as the highest opening for an Indian film with a GBO of AUD 161,857 (USD 132,108) across 34 screens.

Film trade analyst Komal  Nahta tweeted: "#PK 1st day all-India net collection: approx. Rs. 25.6 crore. Phenomenal considering that it's a social film. Word of mouth is fantastic!!"

Directed by Rajkumar Hirani , the film hit the theatre last Friday.

Positive reviews and congratulatory messages have been pouring in from all quarters for the director for PK.

Actors Sanjay Dutt, Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma are playing the lead roles in the film which hit the silver screen on Friday.
