Makers of Border 2, on Friday, released the first poster of the movie, featuring actor Sunny Deol in an aggressive mood.

The poster was released on the occasion of Independence Day.

The movie will release ahead of the Republic Day celebration next year on January 22.

The movie is expected to deliver a patriotic sentiment to cinegoers.

Sunny could be seen donning the soldier's uniform and wielding a bazooka.

The poster reignited the patriotic sentiment and rekindled memories of 'Border', the iconic film that had stormed the country in 1997.

Border is a 1997 Indian Hindi-language epic action war film written, produced and directed by J. P. Dutta.

Set during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, the film is based on the events of Battle of Longewala (1971).

It stars Sunny Deol, Jackie Shroff, Suniel Shetty, Akshaye Khanna, Sudesh Berry and Puneet Issar alongside a supporting cast including Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Tabu, Raakhee, Pooja Bhatt and Sharbani Mukherjee.
