Mumbai/IBNS: In a twist in the tale, filmmaker Karan Johar Thursday announced his popular chat show Koffee with Karan will not return on television but will be streaming on Over-the-top (OTT) platform Disney Plus Hotstar.

Johar said, "Koffee with Karan will not be returning...on TV! Because every great story needs a good twist, I'm delighted to announce that Season 7 of Koffee with Karan will stream exclusively on Disney+Hotstar!"

This comes a day after Johar said "with a heavy heart" that the show will not return, keeping the digital streaming part hidden.

From Amitabh Bachchan to Shah Rukh Khan to Deepika Padukone to Ananya Panday, Koffee with Karan's couch was adorned with various celebrities, who speak their heart out in a candid conversation with Johar.

In the course of the conversation, the celebrities also used to play games to win gifts from the celebrated filmmaker.
