Mumbai, Oct 9 (IBNS) Mumbai actress Jacqueline Fernandez is known for her love for animals.

The actress is disturbed by the way people treat animals in India and is definitely not one to keep quiet about it! She plans to spread awareness regarding the issue by targeting colleges across the country first.

A source close to the actor said, "Jacqueline is an animal lover, and is very fond of pets. At her parents' home in Bahrain, she had five dogs. In Mumbai, she has a Persian cat. She was gifted the cat by a friend. She is keen to set up an organization, where animals can be taken care of, and which can also be used to create awareness about their abuse."

When contacted to confirm the news, Jacqueline’s spokesperson confirmed the news and said, "Though she would love to have her own organization that would work towards animal protection someday, at the moment, she is connecting with colleges to raise awareness about the issue."
