Irrfan to introduce his son to the Father of the Nation on Fathers Day

| | Jun 19, 2016, at 01:47 am
New Delhi, June 18 (IBNS) Father's Day is a day to honour fathers and celebrate fatherhood.

This year, on this special day, actor Irrfan Khan wants to introduce his son to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi.

The actor strongly believes in what Gandhiji stood for.

Mahatma Gandhi had driven all the major activities of independence as well as upliftment of the society from the Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad. He stayed in the ashram for many years before he finally proceeded for a march to Dandi to break the salt law on 12 March 1930.

Irrfan Khan wants to take his 11 year old son to this serene vicinity.

He wants his son to experience this tranquility and give him an insight in history and thereby in the motivational journey of this preeminent leader of India, Gandhiji.

Thereby, on this Fathers Day, 19th June, Irrfan will be introducing the Father of the Nation to his son by taking him to visit and pay homage at the Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad.

Irrfan shares, "Mahatma Gandhi was a common man, who brought about such a huge change in the society. I want to introduce my son to the father of the nation who set an example of doing inspirational  work for the toughest times for the nation. He isa representative of the extraordinary amongst the ordinary men."
