I would like to shoot a whole film in Bengal, says Shahrukh khan

Kolkata, Dec 23 (IBNS): Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan who was in Kolkata on Tuesday for the maiden tour to promote his film Dilwale said that he would like to shoot a whole film in Kolkata whenever he gets an opportunity.

“I would like to shoot a whole film in Kolkata rather than a short sequence or a song whenever I get an opportunity. I am overwhelmed with the kind of love, respect and affection that the people of Kolkata have given me. Kolkata is my city and I feel very proud whenever I come here,” said king Khan while addressing the press.

“Dilwale has got the highest response from Bengal. I feel very honoured to be the brand ambassador of Bengal. Whatever little I can do I will do that for Bengal and my country,” the superstar added.

Bollywood’s most loved couple Shahrukh and Kajol recreated memories of the nineties as they flew down to Kolkata to promote their film Dilwale at a star hotel of Kolkata.

Actress Kajol, who is paired with Shahrukh almost after five years in Dilwale , said, ”It has been a long friendship of almost twenty two years and we did seven films together. It has been a great fun, fortunately our films have worked. People have appreciated our films and have given us a lot of love over the years. Coming to Dilwale, it is a very unusual film. Dilwale has a very passionate story, the emotions are very intense. The story has a mixture of both love and hatred and probably this is the thing which makes the story different."

Recalling her childhood memories about Kolkata the Dilwale Dulhaniya Lejayenge actress said, “Ami Bangla ektu ektu jani, bolte pari na (I can understand Bengali but I can’t speak in Bengali). When I was young I used to come to Kolkata quite often but after a long time I am back in Kolkata. I think my mom is a more familiar face in Kolkata and over the years Kolkata has given a lot of love to their own Tanu Di (Tanuja).Even she was very excited when I told her that I am going to Kolkata.”

Apart from Shahrukh and Kajol the film also stars youngsters like Varun Dhawan and Kirti Sanon, who made her debut in the film Heropanti opposite Tiger Shroff in leading roles.

Dilwale was released on the 18th of Dec have earned an amount of Rs 10.09 crore at the box office on the fourth day of its release, falling behind Bajirao Mastani which earned Rs 10.25 crore on the fourth day after the release of .Dilwale has made Rs 75.18 crore at the domestic box office. Dilwale has earned Rs.145 crore worldwide.
