Ex-Disney Channel star Caroline Sunshine now joins White House press team

Washington, Mar 28 (IBNS): Ex-Disney Channel star Caroline Sunshine has joined the White House press office, media reports said.

She is best known for her role as Barbara Winslow in the family film- Marmaduke.

The actress also gained fame for her role alongside Zendaya as Tinka Hessenheffer in "Shake It Up".

It was a Disney Channel show about teen dancers which ran from 2010 to 2013.

Caroline Sunshine, 22, had earlier worked as a White House intern. 

"Caroline Sunshine was a White House intern. In college, she was involved with the American Enterprise Institute and an active member of her school's Model United Nations team. Prior to her internship at the White House, Caroline interned for the Office of House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, the College Republican National Committee and the California Republican Party," White House spokeswoman Lindsay Walters told CNN in a statement.

Caroline is followed by a significant number of netizens online.

Her verified Twitter account is followed by 500,000 people.

Her verified Instagaram account is followed by 235,000 followers.
