Mumbai/IBNS: The Dhanush and Kriti Sanon starrer Tere Ishq Mein continued its strong performance at the box office on its second day, extending its impressive opening weekend collection.

The romantic drama, directed by Aanand L. Rai, has amassed a total of Rs. 33 crore over two days, according to Sacnilk reports.

The film earned Rs. 16 crore on opening day, while the makers claim the Hindi version alone has brought in Rs. 31.63 crore despite receiving mixed to negative reviews.

Critics highlighted issues with uneven writing, a convoluted narrative, and logic gaps, particularly in the second half of the film.

The portrayal of love in the movie has also sparked debate, with some describing it as obsessive or toxic, calling it a “flawed tale of toxic love and obsession.”

The film’s nearly three-hour runtime and slow pacing were additional points of criticism, with viewers on social media describing parts of the movie as “cringe,” citing a collapsing plot in the latter half, and reporting walkouts during screenings.

Despite the mixed reception, the film’s box office momentum indicates strong audience curiosity and fan interest, keeping it in the spotlight over the opening weekend.
