Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood actress-producer Anushka Sharma will be starring as former Indian cricket captain Jhulan Goswami in upcoming Hindi film 'Chakda Express'.

'Chakda Express', a Netflix film, is based on the life of Goswami.

Sharing a glimpse of the film, Sharma tweeted, "It is a really special film because it is essentially a story of tremendous sacrifice. Chakda Xpress is inspired by the life and times of former Indian captain Jhulan Goswami and it will be an eye-opener into the world of women’s cricket."

"As a cricketing nation, we have to give our women cricketers their due. Jhulan's story is truly an underdog story in the history of cricket in India and the film is our celebration of her spirit."

This is the first film Sharma is going to be a part of after the box office failure of Hindi film 'Zero', which also featured actors Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles.
