Gandhinagar, Oct 7 (IBNS): Addressing the young students of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Gandhinagar, prime minister Narendra Modi, on Saturday, said the youth should embrace the innovation.

Modi said it is unbearable to see Google, Facebook and Youtube are created in some other countries while India has so much talents.

With few months to go for the Gujarat assembly polls, the prime minister said he always wanted IIT Gandhinagar to become one of the topmost IITs in the country.

Modi, who is on a two-day visit to the state, has given a push for digitalisation also.

The prime minister spoke about eradicating the digital divide in the country and also explained ways to do that.

"Digital literacy can be achieved through user friendly technology," the PM said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Saturday, dedicated the newly constructed building of IIT Gandhinagar to the nation, according to media reports.

He arrived in Gandhinagar from Chotila, Surendranagar district.

The Prime Minister is presently on the first day of his state visit.

On his arrival at Jamnagar earlier in the day, PM Modi was received by the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Vijay Rupani.

From Jamnagar, the PM traveled to Dwarka, where he visited the ancient Dwarkadish Temple before embarking to unveil a slew of projects in Dwarka and Chotila.

He laid the foundation stone for a greenfield airport for Rajkot; six-laning of Ahmedabad-Rajkot National Highway; and four-laning of Rajkot-Morbi State Highway.

He also dedicated to the nation, a fully automatic milk processing and packaging plant; and a drinking water distribution pipeline for Joravarnagar and Ratanpur area of Surendranagar.
