Will take liars to graveyard: Delhi Police Commissioner on corruption charge
New Delhi, Dec 4 (IBNS) Angry over corruption charges brought against him, Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi said he would take those indulging in such lies to their graveyard, vehemently denying he ever indulged in any corruption.
Amid reports that Delhi's ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) would move against him on corruption, Bassi said it is a malicious campaign against him and he never indulged in any corruption.
"I will find out all and find out about the inquiry they are talking about. If it is a campaign to malign me it will be met with a befitting reply. Will take the corrupt and liars [be-imaan] to their graveyard," said Bassi, adding that they work in the streets and any allegation against him is baseless.
"I have never indulged in corruption and will never do it," he said.
Reports said the AAP is bringing some real estate corruption charges against Bassi.
Earlier reacting to a study by AAP that Delhi Police was most corrupt, Bassi had said that he would step down if any corruption charge could be proved against him.
"I will resign from my post if the Chief Minister proves that I am involved in corruption," the Delhi Police Commissioner had said in October last reacting to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's charges.
