US citizen arrested in Kolkata for molesting minor boy

Kolkata, Nove 28 (IBNS) A 51-year-old US citizen was arrested in Kolkata on Friday for allegedly molesting a minor boy at a posh hotel, reports said.

The 'accused', Leslie Allen Powel, had checked into the hotel on Thursday afternoon and after an hour he entered his room reportedly with a 14-year-old boy. The hotel employees  alerted the Bidhannagar Police about Powel's suspicious activity and alleged that he had molested the boy in his room.

The victim has been sent for medical examination and the US consulate in Kolkata has been informed about the arrest.

Powel reportedly befriended the 14 year old boy on Facebook and both agreed to meet.
