Deoria, Uttar Pradesh, Sep 19 (IBNS): A 15-year-old girl died after falling from the third floor of her school in Uttar Pradesh Deoria town on Monday, reports said.

However, the girl's parents have alleged foul play and have lodged a formal complaint, urging the police for a detailed investigation.

The deceased has been identified as Neetu Chauhan, a student of class XI, who studied at Modern Montessori Inter College.

Police official said that the girl was rushed to a nearby hospital and was later moved to Baba Raghav Das Medical College, but she died on the way.

The girl's father, Paramhans Chauhan, was quoted by NDTV as saying, "On the way to the hospital, my son asked Neetu what had happened and she said she was pushed off the third floor. I want a detailed investigation."

The father added that the school authorities did not inform them of the accident and it was one of the girl's friend who told the former.

Senior police officer Rajiv Malhotra said, "The father has given a complaint that his child was thrown off. The incident happened around 11 am and we were informed around 3 pm. We have called a forensic team to gather further details from the accident site."
