Two terrorists, one armyman die in Kashmir gunbattle

Srinagar, Dec 4 (IBNS) In a fierce gun-batlle with security forces two heavily armed rebels and an army personnel were killed in north Kashmir’s Handwara area on Friday, police said.
According to reports 21 RR and SOG Handwara received inputs about terrorists hiding in the Rajwar area and soon they started an operation to eliminate the rebels.
 
“When we reached the spot armed rebels started firing on search party with automatic weapons. The security forces covered up themselves and retaliated”, a senior officer said.
 
He  said exchange of firing between the two sides left two terrorists and one armyman dead.
 
Gunfight was continuing even when this report was filed.
