Tribal girl raped and murdered by Muslim man in Jharkhand's Dumka: Report
A 14-year-old tribal girl was allegedly raped and murdered by a Muslim man in Jharkhand's Dumka, media reports said, adding that her body was found hanging from a tree by the locals Friday morning.
The police handed over her body to the victim's family after the autopsy.
Deputy Inspector General of Police Sudarshan Mandal told India Today TV that the girl was allegedly raped and murdered by Arman Ansari. Police have arrested Ansari, he added.
According to the report, the girl used to live with her aunt in Dumka where she got into a relationship with Ansari. She asked him to marry her after she got pregnant, but he killed her.
The police are awaiting an autopsy report to ascertain if she was killed and then hanged to the tree to forge a suicide.
BJP leader Louis Marandi has demanded a CBI or NIA probe into the crime, said the report.
If justice wasn't done they would go from village to village to form women's organisation to ensure women's safety in the state.
"I am deeply saddened by the incident in Dumka. In the said case, the accused has been arrested and I have directed Dumka Police to take strict legal steps to ensure justice. May God give peace to the departed daughter and give strength to the bereaved family to bear this critical time," Chief Minister Hemant Soren tweeted.

The Leader of Opposition in Jharkhand assembly, Babulal Marandi, said: “This news from Dumka is going to boil your blood. It is alleged that this tribal girl was hanged on a tree after being raped by a youth named Arman Ansari yesterday. Arman is arrested. And how many tribal girls will be the victims of such scoundrels in Jharkhand?”

He tagged Home Minister Amit Shah in his tweet.
In another tweet he wrote: According to the information received, this santhal tribal girl was just 14 years old, a victim of Armaan's jihadi desires. The possibility of this matter being linked to the international network of love jihad also cannot be ruled out."
Marandi also slammed Soren for appeasement politics and accused that the CM was avoiding to take the accused's name for this reason.

This incident comes days after a tribal school girl was set on fire by her stalker Shahrukh. She died after five days in the hospital where she was being treated for her burn injuries.
