Sushma Swaraj attacks former Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar with old video

New Delhi, June 25 (IBNS): External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Sunday made a veiled attack on opposition's Presidential candidate and former Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar by posting an old video footage from the floor of the Parliament on social media.

The video dates back to those days when Sushma Swaraj was serving as the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha while Meira Kumar was the Speaker of the House.

Kumar had served as the Lok Sabha Speaker from 2009 to 2014.

The video showed Sushma Swaraj attacking the UPA government over corruption charges while the Speaker is seen interrupting her.

Sharing the video, Sushma tweeted: "This is how Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar treated the Leader of Opposition."

She also shared a link of a report published by the Daily Pioneer on May 3, 2013, whose headline read: "Speaker interrupted Sushma 60 times in 6-min speech".

Kumar has been selected by the opposition parties as its  presidential candidate.

The BJP-led NDA had earlier named Ram Nath Kovind as its presidential candidate.
