Surat minor raped and tortured, body recovered with 86 injuries

Surat, Apr 15 (IBNS): Even as the country is outraged over the Kathua and Unnao gangrape cases, Surat police have found the body of a nine-year-old girl with over 80 injuries, media reports said.

The body of the unidentified minor girl was found near a cricket field in Bhestan area of Surat.

According to media reports, the girl was raped and tortured for at least eight days before being strangulated to death.

The Surat police have registered a case of rape against unidentified accused under The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
