Son of farmer killed in Bihar

Bhagalpur, May 20 (UNI) Unidentified criminals killed a farmer’s son by slitting open his throat at Srinagar village under Ishipur Barahat police station area in Bhagalpur district late last night.

Police said the outlaws killed farmer Binod Pandey`s 20-year old son Animesh Kumar by slitting open his throat with a sharp edged weapon when he was fast asleep at the terrace of his house. Sources said the youth was employed in a private company and had come to his residence on vacation.

The reason behind the murder was not known yet, sources said. The youth's relatives came to know about the incident this morning. An FIR had been filed by his family members at the police station concerned.

In protest against the murder, villagers were disrupting the road traffic even as police and officials were trying to pacify them.
