Patna, June 18 (TheBiharPost/IBNS): A schoolgirl was thrown off from a running train and was left to die after being gang-raped in Bihar.

The horrible incident took place at Lakhochak village under Chanan police station in Lakhisarai district on Friday, bringing back memories from 2012 Delhi’s Nirbhaya case.

According to victim's family, the girl had gone to meet nature’s call on Friday morning when some youths overpowered her, took to a nearby field and allegedly gang-raped her.

Media reports said when the victim fell unconscious, the accused persons made her board a train at a nearby station and threw her down when the train picked up speed.

The victim suffered multiple fracture injuries and also severe wounds in her private parts.

She was admitted to a local hospital in a critical condition. The police are investigating the case.
