New Delhi, Oct 13 (IBNS): The Supreme Court of India has refused to modify its ban on the sale of crackers in New Delhi, according to media reports.

On Friday, the apex court rejected pleas from sellers of firecrackers regarding the ban, media reported.

The ban will remain in place till November 1.

A three-judge Bench, headed by Justice A K Sikri, upheld the November 11, 2016 Supreme Court order, which suspended all licences that “permit sale of fireworks wholesale and retail within the territory of NCR”, media reported.

The apex court has also said that it is perturbed by the communal colour given to the order, according to media reports.
