New Delhi, Jun 4 (UNI): Business Robert Vadra on Tuesday appeared before Enforcement Directorate(ED) at its Delhi office once again in connection with a money laundering case.

This is the 13th time Vadra, Congress president Rahul Gandhi’s brother-in -law, is being questioned under Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA)for irregularities in purchase of properties abroad in addition to cases against him in Delhi’s NCR and Bikaner in Rajasthan.

He has been allowed by a Delhi court to travel abroad for six weeks for treatment of an illness. The court has asked for his travel schedule and to return to India before the deadline. It allowed Vadra to go to the US and the Netherlands but directed him against visiting London.

According to probe agency sources, the investigating team is likely to question him on purchase of benami properties-- a villa in Dubai’s Jumeirah worth Rs 14 crore and a flat in London’s Bryanston Square worth over Rs 26 crore.

During questioning in February, details of alleged benami transactions in the purchase of the Jumeirah villa and the London flat were shared with him during three days of questioning at ED’s Delhi office which he reportedly refused to acknowledge.

Last week,Vadra had skipped his scheduled appearance before the Enforcement Directorate citing bad health.
