Rajnath Singh condoles AB Bardhan's demise

New Delhi, Jan 2 (IBNS): Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday condoled the death of senior Communist Party of India (CPI) leader Ardhendu Bhushan Bardhan.

"Saddened to hear of the demise of senior CPI leader AB Bardhan ji. He was known for his deep concern for workers, poor and needy," Singh tweeted.

Singh called Bardhan as one of the pillars of left wing politics.

"With the demise of Shri AB Bardhan the country has lost one of the pillars of left wing politics. My condolences to his grieving family," the Minister said.

Bardhan passed away in New Delhi on Saturday.

According to reports, he passed away after prolonged illness.

He was 92 when death came.
