Punjab journalist attacked as he tries to interview convict inside jail
Patiala, Dec 23 (IBNS) Senior Punjab journalist Kanwar Sandhu was attacked inside a Patiala jail after had gone to interview Balwant Singh Rajoana,a convict, reports said.
Rajoana is convicted for assassinating former Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh.
The Punjab government has suspended a prison official for allowing an unauthorised interview inside jail.
A probe has also been ordered into the sequence of events.
