President congratulates medal winners in CWG

New Delhi, July 25 (IBNS): President Pranab Mukherjee on Friday congratulated weight lifters and judokas who won medals on the opening day of the XX Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
In individual messages to Sanjita Khumukcham, Sukhen Dey, Navjot Chana, Sushila Likmabam, Mirabai Chanu Saikhom, Kalpana Thoudom and Ganesh Mali, the President said, “I would like to extend my congratulations for keeping the country’s flag flying high. My best wishes to you, for further success in the future."
 
Meanwhile, Indian shooter Abhinav Bindra on Friday struck Gold in Men's 10m Air Rifle event at the Commonwealth Games.
 
He finished the final with a score of 205.3.
