PM Modi pays homage to Rabindranath Tagore on his birth anniversary
New Delhi, May 7 (IBNS) Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, paid homage to poet Noble Laureate Rabindranath Tagore on his birth anniversary.
“I bow to Gurudev Tagore on his birth anniversary. He was a versatile personality whose profound thoughts and writings continue to inspire”, he said.
Rabindranath Tagore was born on May 7, 1861. But, in West Bengal and other places the poet's birthday is celebrated according to the Bengali calender, that is on 25 Baisakh, which falls on May 8 this year.
