Patna/UNI: Former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and leader of the opposition in Assembly Tejaswi Prasad Yadav on Friday took potshots at Nitish Kumar for applauding Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying he did nothing for the state but still the Chief Minister is appreciating him.

Modi, while interacting with reporters here after his arrival from Delhi, said Kumar had profusely appreciated Prime Minister Modi during his campaign for NDA candidates in Delhi Assembly elections here but he should also explain before the people what he had done for Bihar.

Modi had promised special status category for Bihar but the state was still waiting for the same, he added.

"Similarly, Modi had also promised to give special package for Bihar but no package had been given to the state so far even after the lapse of more than four years of his promise," Yadav said adding that the Prime Minister had let down people of Bihar.

He also said that the people of Bihar would give him befitting reply in next state assembly elections slated for October-November 2020.
