Noida: Woman misbehaves with security, arrested
Noida: A woman was detained by sector-126 police on Sunday after her video of abusing security guards and dragging them with their collars in JP Wish Town society went viral on social media, a Noida police spokesman said.
The incident actually took place around Saturday evening. In the viral video, the accused Bhavya Roy, a resident of flat number 901 tower 15, is seen hurling abuses on a security guard of the JP Wish Town Society. She even threatens them of serious consequences.
Prima facie it appears that the woman was in an inebriated state. She also commented on the ethnicity of the guards while pointing towards a particular state.
Police sources said that the security guard Anup Kumar on Saturday lodged a written complaint at sector-126 police station.
"He has alleged that on Saturday around 5.45 pm when he reached the open the main gate of the society, Bhavya came out of her car and started hurling abuses. He has even alleged that the accused thrashed him and threatened him of fire consequences," they said.
Police said that the guard has claimed that Bhavya was intoxicated to the extent that she was not even able to stand on their feet.
"The guard has alleged that the accused used casteist words against him, a video of which was made by her fellow guards," they said.
Meanwhile, a spokesman of Noida police said, "Taking cognizance of the video in which a woman is misbehaving with the security guards in JP Wish Town Society a case has been lodged against Rai under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at sector-126 police station.
He said that Rai has been arrested and the matter is being investigated further. Reports said that Bhavya was produced in a local court, which remanded her to 14 days judicial custody.
It may be noted that earlier this month self-proclaimed leader of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Shrikant Tyagi was arrested by the police in a similar incident. In a video which went viral on social media Tyagi was seen misbehaving with a woman in Grand Omaxe Society in sector 93B under Phase 2 police station.
