Nine pilgrims killed as bus overturns in Rajasthan

Jaipur, Jul 22 (IBNS) : Nine people, including six women, were killed and 22 injured when a bus carrying pilgrims from Gujarat overturned near Rajasthan's lake city Udaipur on Saturday, media reports said quoting police.

The bus, carrying pilgrims, was travelling to Ahmedabad from Haridwar on way to Kashi.

The accident took place at Nela Gao under Govardhan Vilas police station, ten km away from Udaipur. Three other vehicles were involved in the crash.

Police said the  driver of the private bus lost control  while trying to avoid a collision with a two-wheeler and another vehicle.

The injured have been admitted to hospital.
