MVA tapers off Fadnavis, Patil, Thackeray's security cover

| @indiablooms | Jan 11, 2021, at 12:08 am

Mumbai/UNI: Maha Vikas Aghadi government has trimmed the security covers of Opposition BJP leaders Devendra Fadnavis and Chandrakant Patil, and MNS party head Raj Thackeray.

The decision to scale down the protection provided to these leaders was taken after the top police brass and home ministry officials reviewed their security.

Maharashtra Assembly Leader of Opposition Fadnavis and state BJP chief Patil have frequently attacked the tripartite MVA, calling it an odd alliance.

They have also heavily criticized CM Uddhav Thackeray-led dispensation for alleged mismanagement of the COVID-19 crisis.

The BJP further sharpened its attack at the ruling coalition as the Supreme Court stayed the Maratha quota.

The saffron party asserted that its’ friend-turned-foe Sena isn’t serious on fulfilling the Maratha community’s long-pending demand of reservation in education and government jobs while firebrand leader Raj Thackeray has lashed out at the MVA over the issue of inflated lockdown power bills and his partymen have also vandalized the MSDECL offices in several parts of the state.
