Thane, May 8 (UNI) Two youths have been booked from Baneli village in Kalyan for allegedly cutting a birthday cake with a sword, police said.

According to Sr PI Balaji Pandhare, two cousins, while celebrating their birthday on Monday, had used a huge sword to cut a cake, the video of which went viral on social media within hours.

Later, they personally approached the police station on Tuesday and said it was done out of enthusiasm as the sword was bought in a 'Mela' (fair) out of curiosity, they said.

The youths were identified as Nafiz Rais and Sarfaraz Rais.

They were booked under section 25(4) Arms Act 1959. However, no arrest has been made so far.
