Maharashtra: Unidentified woman's body found in Kasara Ghat

Thane, May 13 (UNI) An unidentified woman's body was found in the Kasara Ghat area, police said.

On Sunday, after getting the news that foul smell was emanating from the ghats, the police rushed to the spot and recovered the body. The body was packed in a cardboard box.

The body around (50), might be over ten days old and was totally decomposed, the police added.

The body has been sent for the post-mortem to the government hospital at Sahapur.

The case was registered against the unidentified person, police said, adding that the body is yet to be identified.
