Maharashtra: Parents kill their own son in Kolhapur

Kolhapur, May 13 (UNI) Police have arrested a parent couple on Monday for murdering their own son by injecting poison in his body, police sources said.
 

Divulging details, Peth-Vadgaon police said the deceased Aniket alias Abhijeet Arun Walvekar (24), used to make persistent demand for money and his parents were fed up with this.

To eliminate him, his father and mother took assistance of three others.

On May 4, they poisoned him and strangled him and threw his body in a nearby well. On May 7, his body was recovered by the police.
Thorough investigation revealed that his parents along with three others were behind this gruesome act.

The suspected accused are Arun Sakharam Walvekar (55), Rekha (40), father and mother of the deceased.

Suraj Ramchandra Thanekar (24), Avinash alias Bablu Anil Jagtap (22) and Abhijeet Dinkar Suryvanshi (26), all residents of Peth-Vadgaon are party to the crime.
The murder took place at Ambap-Manpadake road at Peth-Vadgaon of Hatkanangale tehsil of this district.

A case was registered and further investigation was on, they added.
