Maharashtra: 14 SRPF personnel injured as vehicle turns turtle

Nanded, May 22 (UNI) Fourteen State Reserve Police Force(SRPF) personnel sustained injuries when the vehicle carrying them skided off the road nearby Barad in Ardhapur tehsil here on Wednesday.

The police said that one SRPF jawan identified as Devrao Aarkar sustained serious injuries and all of them have been admitted at the Primary Health Centre in Barad.

According to police, the accident tool place on Wednesday morning when the vehicle was moving Gadchiroli SRPF personnel for election duty.

While plying on the under-repair road, the SRPF vehicle driver lost control over the wheels in an attempt to avert collision with another vehicle coming from opposite direction,mentioned police.

Owing to sudden manoeuvre, the SRPF vehicle skided off the road and turned turtle, added police.
