Lucknow: Rajnath Singh serves food to children

Lucknow, Dec 27 (IBNS):Participating in an event organized by Akshya Patra Foundation here, Union Home Minister Rajnanth Singh on Sunday served food to children.

"Served food to children at a function organised by 'Akshay Patra Foundation' in Lucknow today," Singh tweeted.

"The Akshay Patra foundation runs a kitchen Lucknow to feed nearly 70000 kids per day. Nationwide the figures are 1.5 million per day," he said.

The Union Minister said: "Serving nutritious food to poor and underprivileged kids is a great service to humanity. Akshya Patra Foundation doing commendable work."
