Lt Gen Philip Campose meets Haryana CM

New Delhi, July 29 (IBNS): Lt Gen Philip Campose, the Western Army Commander met Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, at his residence on Tuesday.
General Philip is moving to Delhi to take over as Vice Chief of Army Staff on Aug 1. 
 
Issues of mutual interest pertaining to Military Stations in Haryana were discussed during the meeting. 
 
The General thanked the Chief Minister for looking after the interests of the Defence community especially the war widows and  army veterans. 
 
Hooda's government has recently announced a number of welfare schemes for the war widows and the defence personnel. 
 
The Chief Minister assured the General that his government will continue  to give priority to solving the problems of the soldiers and appreciated the sacrifices made by the Indian Army for the nation.
