Kolkata, Nov 30 (IBNS): A local court in Kolkata on Monday remanded three suspected ISI (Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence) agents, who were booked on Sunday, in police custody till Dec 14 for further interrogation.

Acting on a tip off, the Special Task Force (STF) of Kolkata Police on Sunday arrested three suspects- Ershad Hyder Ansari, his son Ashfaque Ansari and their relative Md. Jehangir- along with few sensitive documents from Khidderpore Ramnagar under Garden Reach Police Station area in Kolkata for allegedly spying for ISI, reports said.

"The arrested persons have strong links with ISI. We have seized several incriminating documents including fake currency and hand-drawn maps of the Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Ltd. (GRSE) and Netaji Subhas Dock from their possession. Our interrogation process is underway to know more about their module," Special Additional and Joint Commissioner of Kolkata Police (Hdq) Rajeev Mishra told IBNS.

According to reports, police have charged them under IPC sections 121(Waging, or attempting to wage war, or abetting waging of war, against the Government of India), 121-A (Conspiracy to commit offences punishable by section 121), 489-B (Using as genuine, forged or counterfeit currency-notes or bank-notes), 489-C (Possession of forged or counterfeit currency-notes or bank-notes) and 120-B (Criminal Conspiracy).

However, they were produced in the Bankshall Court in Kolkata and sent to police custody till Dec 14.
