Kashmir: Woman killed, 2 others injured in road accident in Kupwara

Sringar/UNI: A woman was killed and two others were injured in a road accident in north Kashmir district of Kupwara on Tuesday.

Official sources said that a vehicle skidded off the road due to slippery conditions following fresh snowfall and fell into a nullah near Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Potusha, Kupwara on Tuesday morning.

"A woman, identified as Zoona Begum, died on the spot while two others were injured in the accident," they said.

They said the injured were immediately taken to a hospital.

"After completing all the legal and medical formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to her relatives for last rites," they added.
