Srinagar/UNI: The Jammu and Kashmir Police along with the Indian Army on Thursday busted a Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militant hideout and recovered incriminating material and other items in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Based on credible input, Police in Awantipora, along with Army's 42 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), busted a terrorist hideout in the forest area of Syedabad Pastuna Tral which was subsequently destroyed, police said.

"Incriminating materials of proscribed terrorist outfit JeM and materials like edible items, utensils etc. were recovered from the said hideout," they said.

All the recovered materials have been taken into police custody for the purpose of investigation.

A case under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Tral and further investigation is in progress.
