Jammu and Kashmir: Soldier killed in mysterious firing in Shopian
Srinagar, Jun 7 (UNI) An Army soldier died under mysterious firing incident in south Kashmir district of Shopian on Friday, official sources said.
They said conflicting reports about the firing incident in a camp at Mastpora in Shopian are emerging. A report said soldier Karamjeet Singh of 23 PARA died when his service weapon went off accidentally.
However, another report said he committed suicide by shooting self with his service weapon.
A case has been registered and initiated proceedings, they said.
