India, Egypt relationship has got new momentum : Indian envoy

New Delhi, Jan 27 (IBNS) India and Egypt's relationship has risen to a new height with the two countries looking to enhance their economic engagement and scientific collaboration, the Indian Ambassador has said.

 "Prime Minister (Narendra) Modi and President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi have met twice last year last and the External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj made a very significant visit to Egypt", India's Ambassador to Egypt Sanjay Bhattacharyya said while  addressing a programme on Tuesday on the occasion of the  Republic Day.

Bhattacharyya said, "Our partnership now has a new momentum."

The envoy said that  both countries are working on enhancing economic engagement and scientific collaboration and deeper culture cooperation and people to people contacts.
