Raipur, Jan 6 (IBNS) Congress MLA Amit Jogi on Wednesday said he was hurt by the decision taken by the party to expel him for six years.

Days after an audio tape surfaced which allegedly showed MLA Amit Jogi involved in fixing an assembly by-election in Chhattisgarh , the Congress on Wednesday expelled him from the party.

Amit Jogi is the son of ex-Chhattisgarh chief minister Ajit Jogi.

Chhattisgarh unit of the Congress has expelled Amit Jogi for six years.

"Amit Jogi MLA has been expelled from Congress for 6 years by Chhattisgarh PCC. Recommendation to expel Ajit Jogi has been sent to AICC," the Congress tweeted.
