Human Rights: India contributes USD 400,000 to UN trust funds

Marking its commitment  to global promotion and protection of human rights and support for UN Human Rights, India recently contributed USD 400,000 to four voluntary trust funds.

The funds are for Victimes of Torture, Technical Cooperation, Implementation of Universal Periodic Review (UPR) and for supporting participation of least developed countries (LDCs)/ Small Island Developing States (SIDs), reports ANI.

@India_NHRC," tweeted India’s Permanent Mission of India at UN.

As a founding member of the United Nations, India strongly supports the purposes and principles of the UN and has made significant contributions to implementing the goals of the Charter, and the evolution of the UN’s specialized programmes and agencies, reports ANI.
