Gang-war in Kolkata's Anandapur leaves two injured with bullet shots

Kolkata/IBNS: At least two men were shot during a gun battle between two local groups over real estate promoting conflict at Gulshan Colony in east Kolkata's Anandapur area on Friday evening, reports said.

According to reports, members of two local rival groups engaged in a gun-battle with each other over a decade old promoting conflict.

Amateur footage captured by a local showed how few gunmen were firing bullets indiscriminately from a four-storey building.

Two persons, who have been identified as Shaokat Ali and Bhujan, were shot during the gang-war and they have been admitted to National Medical College.

Following the incident, a heavy police force rushed to the scene.

Sources in the city police said that the situation was brought under control and operations were on to arrest those involved in the shootout.
