Fuel storage tanks on island off Mumbai coast catches fire, no casualties reported so far
Mumbai, Oct 7 (IBNS): Firefighters said that the fire in an oil depot in Butcher Island off Mumbai's coast has been brought under control, according to media reports on Saturday.
No casualty has been reported so far.
Two fuel storage tanks caught fire on Friday evening. The tanks have a storage capacity of 10-15 lakh litres, according to reports.
The fire in the island oil depot, which is located in the Thane creek, was visible from the Gateway of India, media reported.
