Five terrorists killed in Kashmir as troops foil infiltration bid

Srinagar, Sept 18 (IBNS) Five terrorists were killed as security forces foiled an infiltration bid across the border in Jammu and Kashmir.

Reports said in the operation that started on Thursday night, five terrorists were killed in Kanzalwan village in the Gurez sector in north Kashmir.

The troops on duty along the LoC  intercepted the militants while they were trying to sneak into the Valley from across the border.

Rocket-propelled grenade launchers and AK47 rifles were recovered from the terrorists.

The incident took place as  both India and Pakistan had on Saturday last agreed to jointly resolve issues like ceasefire violations and cross-border infiltration through exchange of information.
