Fake passport racket busted in Kolkata: NIA interrogates arrested persons

| | Jan 10, 2016, at 05:37 am
Kolkata, Jan 9 (IBNS): Officials from National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday interrogated seven accused who were earlier nabbed by Bidhannagar City Police with several fake passports having addresses of Panjab's Pathankot, Gurdaspur and Jalandhar.

Police recently arrested at least seven persons, including a Bangladeshi national, who were having fake Indian passport, from several locations in Kolkata and seized a huge number of fake passports, voter cards and PAN cards from their possessions.

All of the seven arrested are in police custody.

West Bengal Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has taken over the probe into the case on Friday.

However, no terror link with the racket has been found so far.
