Demonstration in Kolkata college: Outsiders identified as TMCP leaders
According to sources, two outsider girls, who were seen leading the protest and pushing Calcutta University's Vice-Chancellor Sugata Marjit, have been marked out as Wahida Khatoon and Tinku Das, who are the General Secretary and Asst. General Secretary respectively of TMCP ruled Deshbandhu College for Girls' students union.
Demanding permission to allow them in Part-II final exams, as many as 95 unsuccessful students of Vivekananda College for Women held massive demonstration in the college campus on Tuesday, when Calcutta University VC Sugata Marjit was present there. Marjit was caught in a scuffle with the protesting students there.
Vivekanda College for Women's Principle Soma Bhattacharya told IBNS, "Identifying the outsiders by watching video footage, is journalists' duty. I can just say, taking the help of CCTV footage, we have identified 3-4 outsiders who came from Deshbandhu College for Girls and led the protests here."
However, the CCTV footage has been sent to the Calcutta University for further action.
Till the last update came in, no such step has been taken against the accused students so far.
