Daughter of former state minister killed in Maharashtra road mishap

Jalgaon, (Maharashtra), May 12 (UNI) A woman was killed on the spot while three others including the car driver sustained injuries when a car in which they travelling over turned turtle at Paldhi phata in Jalgaon district on Sunday afternoon.

According to police, the deceased was identified as Snehaja Premanand Rupwate (65), a Mumbai resident.

Snehaja Rupwate was daughter of former minister late Madhukar Choudhary and sister of former MLA Shirish Choudhary.

Snehaja came for attending the marriage of former MLA Shirish Choudhary’s daughter on Saturday.

After attending the marriage while she was returning to Mumbai along with her relatives in their car, the driver lost his control and over turned the car at Paldhi Phata in Jalgaon district, leading to on the spot of Snehaja.

All injured person were admitted in a private hospital, here.

Snehaja Rupwate was the daughter-in-law of Dadasaheb Rupwate and wife of late Adv Premanand Rupwate.

She was the director of Chetana institute, Bandra Mumbai. She was also the president of Kusumtai Choudhary mahila Kalyani sanstha and Balkalyani Sainsha of Malbar hill of Mumbai.

Police registered complaint and further investigation was on.
